Improvements To Visual Tree Navigation
posted by Editor on Monday March 27, @06:34PM
Visual User Interfaces SpaceTree is a novel tree browser that dynamically rescales branches of a tree to best fit the available screen space, while optimizing camera movement to best view the overall tree structure. The system uses preview icons to summarize the topology of the branches that cannot be expanded in a particular view (see screenshot). It also builds in its own search and filter functions. A sample Java application and a paper (PDF) describing the project are available for download.
