Zooming User Interface For Navigating Web Site Menus
posted by Editor on Tuesday March 21, @07:39PM
Zooming User Interfaces Relevare has implemented a simple and elegant zooming user interface for navigating the menus of its web site. The menu levels are displayed in a 2D Treemap that users descend and ascend with single clicks. Of course, use of the site requires the installation of Flash. For those who don't want to, here is a screenshot.

I like the effect it gives and how you can see the smaller items to be chosen. I wonder how this works for more then three level deep. It seems to work well for simple layouts. Actually, the concept is identical to Pad++. robert
