See The Pictures Others Are Downloading
posted by Editor on Monday March 06, @08:17PM
Web Sensing Driftnet is a Linux application that listens to network traffic, picks out images from TCP streams it observes, and shows them in a mosaic (screenshot). It was inspired by EtherPEG, a Mac program that was used to reveal the collective consciousness of attendees at an O'Reilly conference last month by scanning the wireless Web traffic during the presentations. Driftnet is Open Source, and its code can be downloaded from the site.
